112. Under the leadership of Rev Henry
Whitfield of Ockley, 1613 - 1638. The following
sailed from London with their families in May
1639 for New England and founded Guilford,
Connecticut. Their Signatures
appear on a Solemn Covenant, dates ist June 1639,
entered into on the voyage, now preserved among the papers of the
Massachusetts Historical Society, Boston. Twenty five names including:-
William Chittenden and Abraham Cruttenden
